Web20 aug. 2013 · Muffler patches are not reliable. As for the exhaust manifold, if it has a hole (more likely a crack) replacement is the most reliable option. There should be lots of them available used. I once had a Toyota ex man’s crack welded, and it held up for the remaining couple years the vehicle lasted, but I think I was just lucky. Web18 oct. 2012 · If the exhaust pipe is so rusted it'll break in a few months, that kit is not going to last very long as the movement of the breaking pipe will mostly render it ineffective.
